Matt Bissonnette was born and raised in Montreal, where he studied English and Film at Concordia University. He then studied law at Queen’s University, was called to the Ontario bar, but retired two weeks later to write and work in movies. Bissonnette is also a Find Director’s Lab Fellow. He has written and directed three feature films: Looking For Leonard (2002), Who Loves The Sun (2006), and Passenger Side (2010). His debut novel, Smash Your Head On The Punk Rock, was published in 2008. Recently, he has been shooting ads for Sony, Viacom, Taco Bell and many other leading companies. He lives in Los Angeles with his young son and two old dogs.
