Thomas Beug

Thomas is a documentarian and director whose work is characterised by a nuanced storytelling flair and skill for drawing truthful, emotive performances. At the heart of his craft is an eye for beautifully composed, cinematic visuals.

Adept at both scripted and unscripted formats, Thomas brings an observational sharpness to everything he shoots. He has directed global campaigns for brands such as Adidas and Puma, working with stars including Usain Bolt, Simone Biles, Novak Djokovic and Thierry Henry.

In addition to commercial work, Thomas is a respected documentary director with multiple award-winning docs under his belt. He has worked as director and showrunner on numerous branded doc series, weaving human-centred stories with authenticity and warmth. He also co-created the independent travel show This Is My City, which became an online hit and was featured in The New York Times and The Guardian.

Thomas’ work has won multiple awards at festivals including The One Show, Cannes Lions, The Fastnet Film Festival, Red Rock Film Festival, and DOC NYC.
